The Contractors License Board safeguards consumers by regulating the construction industry through policies that promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the public in matters relating to construction.<\/span><\/p>\n The Contractors License Board accomplishes this by:<\/span> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 The 14th Guam Legislature established the Contractors License Board in 1977.<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 1. \u2022 Requiring that an individual or company practicing or offering to do construction contracting is or be licensed;<\/span>
\u2022 Exercising the laws, regulations, and standards governing construction contracting in a reasonable and consistent manner;<\/span>
\u2022 Providing resolution to disputes that arise from construction activities; and<\/span>
